Personal Branding YOU! With Mary Henderson

Personal Branding YOU! with Mary Henderson

Let me take you back in time if you’re a seasoned businesswoman. If you’re not, allow me to open your eyes to the world of Personal Branding.

Creating what you thought was ‘branding’ was probably the most exciting part of starting your business or stepping into being a solopreneur.

In your head you had flashes of the concept; from the colours to the type of font you wanted to use on your website and logo. You then eagerly trotted off to Canva to design your logo or if you have been around a while you’d hire a logo designer.  Once you got your logo you then built the website to match… thinking that is everything to do with branding.

Am I right?

Well, that’s what I thought too, hence why I specialise in sales not branding, unlike Mary Henderson.

Mary is internationally recognised as a Personal Branding Specialist who stands tall in helping you get your branding message to market on point. She believes in helping individuals bring their genius zone to the forefront and helps you wrap a brand around that so it can be monetised in a way that skyrockets your positioning to untouchable heights.

In today’s conversation, Mary shares WHY branding is the first and most crucial step in any business. She shares why it’s not just about the logo and how to really harness the full essence of you.

It’s a big juicy 55min episode with soooo much great content, I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved speaking to Mary, she’s absolute GOLD!

Enjoy,

Annette xx

OMG Season 4…We Are Back!!!

Last year we had our biggest season for Herpreneur Podcast releasing interviews weekly. To be honest, it stretched me as our business (The Sales Institute) was going through massive growth and I had stepped into the CEO role.

Over time guilt started to creep in.

The feeling that I was taking hours out of a high-generating business and focusing on launching a new episode every week started to kick in big time. The goalposts had changed and the process of my third year of podcasting started to lose its fun. The turnaround time was fast, my team was also being stretched using all resources to keep our weekly promise.

Then an universal message landed in my lap…

It was in the middle of interviewing Samantha Wills (episode 123). Samantha said something that resonated so deep like a bolt of lightning had struck me.

I asked her “What was the moment when you knew it was time to wrap up and walk away from your $10M company?”

Samantha who is globally known for building one of Australia’s best-known accessories brands responded with “I started to work with my head and not with my heart”

At that moment, I got my message.

I needed time out. I needed to pause the show.

I wanted space to feel my internal compass. To feel if the show is aligned with what I want to do in the world. If it was even important to me?

Episode 124 came out. It is called ‘Show Closure – Special Message’

I shared with the audience how I was feeling. I believe in full transparency as I want to give other women permission to speak out if things feel out of alignment.

The very next hour, I notified all upcoming women who were lined up to be interviewed.

That was August 4th, 2021.

Suddenly last week out of the blue I made a connection on LinkedIn. This woman was so inspiring in her journey of business before I knew it, I started typing “I’d love to interview you in Season 4 of the Herpreneur show”

And just like that, the sparkle was back!

I said to myself, I just need to set new rules, new boundaries. A new format that suits where I am in life as a CEO.

I’ll go back to fortnightly releases as that was when it was fun, it’s less pressure on the team and most importantly can banish the feeling of guilt, having a huge split focus every week.

So, I’m super proud to say The Herpreneur show is back! I’m Back and super pumped!

About Samantha

Samantha Wills is an Australian creative director, writer and speaker and educator.

Samantha’s rise into the spotlight began in 2004 when as a 21 year old, she launched Samantha Wills Jewellery from the dining table of her share flat, not realizing at the time that she was building what would become one of Australia’s best-known accessories brands.

Samantha is passionate about sharing her insights into modern and creative entrepreneurship. Her desire to nurture, educate and support emerging founders and entrepreneurs saw her create the Samantha Wills Foundation in 2016, a platform designed to empower women in business.

Spending a decade living in New York City and working with production houses in Asia and India, as well as global office in France and Japan has provided Samantha a wealth of experience as it relates to Australian export and international business.

A celebrated entrepreneur, Samantha was inducted into the HER Business Hall of Fame in 2017, the same year she was a finalist for the coveted InStyle magazine Women of Style Awards in the entrepreneur category. In 2016, Samantha was nominated for Australian of the Year for her work with women in business, and has been featured in Forbes, The Australian Business Review, Yahoo! Finance Young Investors and named a ‘Break Out Star’ by The New York Times.

A natural born storyteller, Samantha is a dynamic speaker and industry expert in the branding and creative entrepreneur space. Her message is always relatable, engaging and inspiring and has spoken to sold out crowds around the world.

Samantha’s first book was released in early 2021— a business memoir titled, of gold & dust — which documents not only her professional experience as a company founder, but also the very personal and human elements that such a rise to success required, all with her signature vulnerability.

When asked by a journalist what was the key to her overnight success, Wills famously answered, “it took me twelve years to become an overnight success.”

Working In Your Feminine Energy with Ainslie Young

Businesswomen are burning out BIG TIME.

Sadly, it’s happening more now in the past 5 years in comparison to the past decade.

WHY?

Because more women are starting business than men

yet we are working like men… (we explain more on that in the interview)

I have been passionate and preaching this topic for the past 3 years

as I had my dash with burning out and deep down I KNEW the way I was working was NOT GOOD!

It had to change!

So, sharing this interview on the show has me BEYOND excited.

Ainslie Young is a Feminine Embodiment Coach and Mentor.

She shares ‘The 5 levels of disassociation’ that we as women go through before we have a breakdown or a breakthrough.

Also besides teaching us her tricks of the trade-in how to tap into our feminine energy.

Ainslie also shares the specifics around how to work based on your menstrual cycles and the different strengths we have during that month.

Such a great eye-opening interview, especially for those who have yet explored this education and really want to make a change on how to work in FLOW and less stress.

Enjoy
